On a good day for rugby the Ampthill Lionesses travelled to Rushden & Higham Ladies for a non-league match, their first in nearly 2 years. With 8 players on the Ampthill side making their debut for the team, 2 playing their first ever game of rugby as an adult and 4 that had never played an actual match at all the ladies acquitted themselves far better than the score might suggest.
