Ampthill 1881’s 33 - 5 Rochford 100

The 1881s continued the preparation for the defence of their Zoo 1 title by hosting a new promoted Rochford Hundred who won their division last season with an unbeaten year and they have been promoted the London South East Premier Division so it was always going to be a competitive game.

It was great to see the Rochford Hundred boys at Dillingham Park for the first game between the two clubs and all the committee, players and members of Ampthill would like to wish Rochford Hundred all the best for the coming season in the London and South East Premier Division.

A couple the A’s new signings made their debuts in the Maroon and Gold with Louis Grimoldby starting at ten and Kwaku Asiedu on the right-wing.

A good game played in the right spirit with both sides scoring points and a thoroughly worthwhile exercise for both teams.
